Clarity for the road ahead.
An independent reference for India’s vehicle registration codes and official service starting points.
What you can do here
Decode supported plate formats, search registration codes and find sourced RTO office entries. The HSRP booking and e-challan finders, RC-status navigator and official-service guide point you to government or reviewed starting routes. You can also generate fancy-number ideas, prepare a document starting checklist, estimate BH-series tax and try a browser-only plate photo scanner.

Evidence and limits
The nationwide code inventory includes research candidates. We distinguish checked code-to-place mappings from unreviewed candidates and distinguish reviewed street addresses from provisional addresses and office localities. Check a provisional office address with the department before travelling. A route check does not confirm the availability or outcome of an external service. Calculators, checklists, OCR and number suggestions are aids, not official determinations.
We do not access private vehicle records, identify owners, book plates or numbers, submit government applications or take payments. GaadiCompass is independent and is not a government website. Read the data methodology and review labels.
Who runs this site
GaadiCompass is built and maintained by the Singh family as an independent reference. We are not a government body, a transport department or a paid booking service, and we do not represent one. Evidence, review dates and open gaps are published on every page rather than smoothed over.
Corrections and ownership
Report a wrong code, office address or service link with the page URL and an official source where possible. We read every message, and corrections that check out against an official source get applied to the public record.
