Separate claims

We record code, place and supporting sources separately from office addresses, jurisdiction, contact details, plate formats and active issuance status. Missing evidence stays missing.

Nationwide discovery layer

The decoder and code finder include 1,336 records from the September 2026 TrafficChallan national compilation, used under CC BY 4.0 with attribution. Those imported rows are candidates, even where the compilation reports an official list. Existing GaadiCompass review records override matching candidates.

HSRP destination review

The HSRP finder uses a host allowlist and exact source-to-destination matching. All 36 state and UT choices fall back to SIAM’s reviewed manufacturer-routing gateway unless a direct state-transport starting page has been individually verified. A reviewed route does not verify eligibility, price, availability or the service delivered by an onward supplier.

E-challan destination review

The e-challan finder also uses a host allowlist and exact source-to-destination matching. Every state and UT has the reviewed national MoRTH/NIC route; a state override appears only after its police or government service URL is separately verified. Payment status, grievances and Virtual Courts use distinct official routes.

Vehicle-tool calculations

Fancy-number suggestions, document starting lists and BH arithmetic run locally. The BH estimator reproduces the 2021 Gazette rate and period formula but does not query VAHAN or determine approval. Photo text detection is attempted only through a browser-provided local capability and must be manually checked.

Source order

Use government notifications for legal prefix and format changes, and transport department listings for office mappings. Commercial or compiled lists may identify research candidates; they do not earn an official-review label.

What the labels mean

Mapping checked means the code-to-place relationship was compared against the linked official listing on the displayed date. Awaiting review means the candidate mapping has not passed that check. Office locality only is not a street address. None of these labels certifies an issued vehicle registration.

Historical and unusual formats

Do not automatically replace historical prefixes, remove leading zeros or treat a directory identifier as a confirmed plate prefix. The decoder abstains when supporting format evidence is missing.

Publication gate

Local builds carry noindex on every page. A release build includes only editorially ready pages in its sitemap. Imported candidates do not create detail pages. A complete jurisdiction or active-office claim needs evidence beyond a directory entry.

Corrections

Provide the page URL, the claim that needs correction and a dated official source through the contact page. Do not send registration documents or personal owner details.
