Start with the kind of transfer
A sale, succession and public auction are separate cases. Gujarat’s official service page distinguishes Forms 29 and 30 for ownership transfer, Form 31 for succession, and Form 32 for public auction. Use this as a form-purpose reference, then follow the service applicable to your state and transaction.
What to prepare
Read the destination service before collecting documents. Check the registered owner and buyer details against the RC, the applicable signatures and any financier involvement. A handover receipt alone is not evidence that the government ownership record has changed.
Follow through to completion
Keep your application acknowledgement and use the official service to track completion. This guide does not prescribe a nationwide fee or deadline. A transfer of owner and reassignment of a registration mark are different updates; your circumstances determine which are required.
